How do you cook your food? And are you stockpiling food which needs cooking, or food which can be eaten without further preparation?
The three main things to consider about cooking are:
- do you need electricity to cook it? (Microwave, electric oven and so on)
- do you need gas to cook it? (Gas internal to the house, such as a supply to a hob)
- do you need water as part of the cooking process? (Dried food, or similar.)
You can of course cook over a barbecue or camping stove, but NEVER do this indoors – carbon monoxide kills.
